Hiring/Pre-Employment with Working Genius
Q: Is this assessment reliable for use in hiring/pre-employment?
A: Working Genius can be used as a way of matching people to roles that will provide them with energy and joy. The simplest way to accomplish this is to list the most important tasks associated with the role you need to fill, and then identify which Geniuses will be most necessary to perform those tasks. You can then look to hire someone whose Geniuses at least partially align with the ones required for the role.
For example, if you are looking to fill an administrative position that involves largely Enablement and Tenacity, hiring a Wonderer/Discerner could potentially be a disaster. It would not only set the new hire up for failure, but it could make them miserable as they would be doing work that frustrates and drains them.
