Working Genius Reliability and Validity

Edited

Working Genius Research has been an ongoing project, and we hired a team from Concordia University Irvine to conduct peer-reviewed research. Phase One of our study was outcomes-based research, and during Phase Two we gathered the NPS score and Reliability rating. Validity will be a much more comprehensive project, as that research will require finding similar instruments that measure each of the six types of work, along with joy and fulfillment in work, in order for us to measure the Working Genius against. For that reason, we have not yet published the validity research. You can review the research in the report attached this article.

Prior to engaging the team at Concordia University, we gave a beta version of the assessment to more than 1,000 people between August and October of 2020. At the same time, we began using the model in the field.  We used the data gathered from testing to control for outliers among the questions (internal consistency), retested subjects (test-retest reliability), compared results with what we knew to be true about the takers (predictive validity), and compared results with how they had tested on other assessments (convergent validity).  One of our most important metrics throughout the entire testing process was face validity, which we’ve consistently found to be extremely apparent.
